The Tatón Dunes are one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Catamarca, and a must-see destination when visiting the province.
During this tour, we stop in Saujil to enjoy sandboarding on its magical dune. Then, in Medanitos, we climb up to Cristo Resucitado to admire the Federico Kirbus Dune, the highest dune in the world.
We continue to the Tatón dune field, where we explore the area, take photos, and enjoy more sandboarding. Before returning to Fiambalá, we visit the remarkable Puma and Elephant geoforms.

Tour Description
We begin our adventure at 8:00 in the morning, picking up passengers from their accommodations in Fiambalá. From there, we travel to the picturesque town of Saujil, home to the charming Magic Dune. We will stop here to enjoy an exciting sandboarding experience, gliding down the soft, golden sands.
Our journey continues to the town of Medanitos, where we will climb to Cristo Resucitado. From this viewpoint, you can enjoy spectacular views of the world’s highest dune, known as Federico Kirbus. It is the perfect place to take memorable photographs and admire the impressive surrounding landscape.
Next, we arrive at the majestic Tatón Dune Field. Here, we will explore its vast sandy expanses, take photographs, and, of course, enjoy even more sandboarding. The beauty and tranquility of this remarkable destination offer an unforgettable experience.
Before ending our excursion, we will visit the impressive Puma and Elephant geoforms, located on a mountain just a few kilometers from the town of Tatón. These extraordinary natural rock formations are a fascinating sight and provide excellent photo opportunities.
We conclude our adventure with the return journey to Fiambalá.
