Nuestro primer viaje internacional en familia arrancó con esta excursión desde Antofagasta de la Sierra, y fue una aventura larguísima pero fascinante. Viajamos por caminos de altura hasta el Volcán Galán, vimos la Laguna Diamante, el Salar de Antofalla y formaciones volcánicas de colores increíbles. También tuvimos paradas para sacar fotos, observar vicuñas y compartir un almuerzo sencillo al aire libre. La guía explicó la geología con mucha paciencia, especialmente a mi hija adolescente. En una pausa encontramos pequeñas piedras de azufre amarillas junto al camino: un detalle inolvidable. Volvimos cansadas, felices y con cientos de fotos.

From pickup in Antofagasta de la Sierra to the last photo stop, everything ran like a well-oiled little bus. Our driver arrived at 7:00 sharp, had the thermos ready, and kept us updated whenever the mountain road slowed us down. The 4x4 was surprisingly comfy, with plenty of legroom and a warm blanket each—important for two retired folks! Galán’s colors were spectacular, and the day felt wonderfully unhurried.

Fiz o passeio no verão, viajando sozinho, e o transporte foi uma surpresa muito boa: van espaçosa, ar funcionando e paradas bem calculadas para não passar mal na altitude. O guia ainda deixou cobertores no veículo para a saída cedo. Pelo preço, incluindo o traslado desde Antofagasta e o almoço simples, achei a relação custo-benefício ótima. Voltaria.

Zu zweit haben wir den Vulkan Galán von Antofagasta aus entdeckt – und der Tag war viel abwechslungsreicher als erwartet. Wir fuhren im bequemen 4x4 mit viel Beinfreiheit und einer kleinen Kühlbox für Wasser und Snacks. Neben der spektakulären Kraterlagune gab es Stopps an bunten Felsformationen, heißen Quellen und Aussichtspunkten; sogar ein kurzer Spaziergang am Salzsee war dabei. Die Fahrt über die Hochlandpisten fühlte sich dank unseres Fahrers erstaunlich entspannt an. Landschaft wie vom Mars, nur mit besserem Picknick!

Sur place, le chauffeur-guide a pris le temps de nous laisser souffler à chaque arrêt — à notre âge, ça compte ! Paysages lunaires, lagune incroyable et pique-nique bienvenu. Pour le prix, la journée complète et le transport depuis Antofagasta offrent franchement un excellent équilibre.
